My everlasting LOVE for Urbanoutfitters.com (and their stores, of course!)
They have been having a sale, for probably going on a month now, and I can't even tell you what deals and steals have been going through that website - they don't even have the sales these great at the stores. Their "$9.99 and under" category is stocked with tons of great tanks, solids or graphics, racerback or thick strapped - it's UNREAL! And, if I'm not mistaken their coupon code of "SAVE25" is still going on, all you need to do is enter that in before checkout, and they deduct 25% off of the sale price - can't beat that (NOTE: Tank tops as low as $4.99 come to around $3.79 ... WOW)!
A Guide to shopping on UO.com:
(1) Careful with their sizing - ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS, it's a great way to get a up-close-and-personal thought of the sizing, or look and feel of the item. And these reviewers don't lie!
(2) "Regular Fit" = choose your normal size; "Oversize Fit" = I would recommend sizing down a size or two.
Some of my favorite pieces:
(1) Nothing Sacred by Obesity and Speed Keyhole Back Cami ($38, Now $14.99)
*For the rocker in all of us!

(2) Silence and Noise Mesh Pocket Tee ($32, Now $4.99)
*Such a great going out top, one that is so light you won't have to worry about sweating your booty off in the club

(4) Ditsy Printed Silk Square Scarf ($28, Now $9.99)
*I'm not really into the scarf thing - I wish I was, my shoulders are just too broad and I find myself looking absolutely ridiculous - but I love that this one is silk, it brings a much lighter feel to the whole scarf-look and the pattern is practical and versatile with a touch of femininity
Link: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=60&startValue=241&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=16156770&parentid=SALE_YARDSALE_LASTCHANCE&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=1731&navAction=poppushpush&color=&pushId=SALE_YARDSALE_LASTCHANCE&popId=SALE_YARDSALE&prepushId=

(7) Sweet Life by Dolce Vita Lace Heel ($128, Now $69.99)
*I love the mind games this heel plays on you - with a VERY chunky stacked heel, you almost want to think it's a wedge, and even though it isn't, I'm sure it still provides that comfort-factor of one. Also the laces up the front is so sexy and gives a simple outfit that extra wow-factor
Link: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=60&id=16001265&parentid=A_FURN_FURNITURE&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=315&navAction=poppushpush&color=21&popId=SALE_YARDSALE&pushId=SALE_YARDSALE_NEW&prepushId=
(8) Message Envelope Necklace ($24, Now $16.99)
*So delicate and feminine with a touch of symbolism; makes a great everyday necklace!

(9) Contributor by Rachel Comey Bag ($98, Now $69.99)
*I can't live without straps when it comes to clutch-size bags, and this grey one by Rachel Comey is a sure thing!

Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Month!
One of the wonderful thing about the summer is the ridiculous amount of SALEs that go on, and I'm not refering to the leftovers from the previous seasons, I'm talking the sales that companys / stores prepare their customers for months in advance ...One famous one being (and one of my particular favorites) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Such a wonderful time of year, where we, the consumer, can obtain fabulous just-in items at sale prices!
Here are some of my favorites - some of which I have obtained, considering the sale has been going on for about two weeks now! Enjoy and remember you only have until August 3rd...So, SHOP SHOP SHOP!
(1) Stuart Weitzman 'Oporto' Bootie in Black suede and Mushroom suede (a light brownish color) (Orig. $395, NOW: $239)
This Bootie is awesome!! It fits amazing and is just beautiful on. We all know that Stuart Weitzman shoes photograph awkwardly (the toe always looks very old lady-ish and awkward and the shoe just looks super long and narrow), but let me tell you, in person these fall booties are to DIE FOR! Super comfortable and versatile, and the price - at less than $250 - for a Stuart Weitzman shoe, let alone a suede boot is unbelievable - this is a fall/winter MUST-HAVE!

(2) Truth and Pride Crop Scooter Jacket (Orig. $478, Now $299)
If you are in the market for a leather jacket, especially a Brown one - LOOK NO FURTHER! This gorgeous buttery leather jacket brought to you by the fabulous people at Truth and Pride is an unbelievable steal at less than $300! I've been looking for a brown leather jacket for as long as I can remember and I couldn't shy away from this one, except for the tragic fact that they just don't have my size ANYWHERE! But let me tell you, this jacket is so comfortable and really can be worn with anything, and the cropped silhouette makes it easy to where it either during the day for a casual-out for the day-look or a more rugged edgy style for the night. Whether you pair this jacket with a white T and jeans, or more dressed up with a flirty summer dress; the wonderful thing about Brown leather jackets is that they offer everything you are looking for that you can't get from your black leather jacket. Sometimes we just need that softer rocker look, and this brown jacket will definitely deliver!

(3) Botkier 'Bianca' Round Pocket Satchel, available in Berry (shown), Brown and Black (Orig. $595, Now. $396)
Ok, so I know almost $400 is still a little steep - but this Botkier bag has been a timeless essential since Botkier started. Botkier is known for gorgeous creamy leathers and this 'Bianca' bag has been on my "Things I Want" list FOREVER! It's a gorgeous completely roomy bag appropriate for anywhere; either the office, going out or just an everyday bag. Let me tell you, I'm a LOVER of big everyday bags and this one is a definite yes! And in Berry, Black and Brown - all neutral colors - it's a total deal!

Some more AA Favs
See below - I have left you with some of the AA items on my wishlist right now. Enjoy!
(1) Cotton Spandex Jersey Slit Legging ($32)

Where I am living right now, it can get quite chilly out, and this sweatshirt is perfect. It's not too bulky so you don't walk around looking like Santa with all the layers, but it's definitely thick enough to keep your body warm as an under-jacket-garment. Plus, it's absolutely adorable on and it's super soft! can't beat that.
(4) Unisex Charmeuse Night Jacket in Black ($45)

What can I say, I think I'm going through a Grease / Living in the 80s stage...Just think about this jacket with an oversized Kane Label Pocket Tee and leggings or skinny black jeans and some YSLs or Christian Louboutins...you can't get much better than that.

(1) Cotton Spandex Jersey Slit Legging ($32)

Totally 80s and totally throwback...with an oversize low cut sweater, and these adorable red heels (just like in this picture), or any colored heels for that matter, I think you have yourself a casual, comfy yet hot outfit for the evening! And did I mention you add some more color to your get-up by wearing them over some colorful tights...ooooh I love them!
(2) Cotton Spandex Jersey Leggings, in Royal Blue ($26)

Their classic cotton leggings are a definite must-have, and this amazing and rich royal blue style just gives you all the more reason to get them.
(3) Unisex Nantucket Fleeze Zip-Up Hoody ($52)

Instant Vest!
So I'm ridiculously obsessed with Lindsay Lohan - always have, always will be - I just love everything about her, especially her style. So when I saw her in this amazing Current Elliott Vest I put it in my little "Things I Want" file for future purchasing. It's such a great vest - it's super flattering, as it cuts right at the waist, and while the wash, which Current Elliott terms, "Loved" (how fun is that!) is a little on the lighter side, I think it presents a great mixture of rocker-cowboy-hipster; a perfect addition/accessory to jazz up any outfit.
However, when I went back home for vacation, ready to hint to my mother how much I really wanted this vest, I came across an old jean jacket, and before I knew it I had my own version of the vest. I had my sister (who is much more crafty than I) cut off the arms and loop through some elastic through the bottom, and Wa-La! The Current Elliott vest was done! While I know it's not the real deal, I'm still pleased with my economical thinking and crafty idea, and I got a great vest out of it. Especially considering I probably wore that jean jacket maybe twice, now at least I'll be getting some use out of it, even if that did require some minor adjustments.

Fun and Flirty Flats
Just snooping around looking for some flats to wear for this weekend, and of course for later use, but mainly for just walking around in, just something that is not my Uggs or my black boots. I never have luck with flats, either I can't find ones I like or the pattern is too busy/intricate for me but I have become more open and willing to try more fun and flirty flats. So in my search I have to say anthropologie.com has a great selection of really reasonable fun flats. Plus they have categorized their flats into "printed" and "solid" which makes it easy on finding exactly what you are looking for. Don't be fooled, even their solid flats are far from any plain jane flats.
Below are some of my fabulous flat finds:
(1) Sidewinder Ballerinas ($78)
The color (which they claim to be silver) is totally neutral, but the snake-embossed patter definitely kicks this ballerina flat up a notch. Everyone needs a great pair of metallic flats, and I love, love, love the orange on the inside, such a great detail!
Link: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_dynSessConf=-5660790956824154338&id=843763&parentid=SB_FLATS_PRINTED&pushId=SB_FLATS_PRINTED&popId=SB_FLATS&sortProperties=&navCount=2&navAction=jump&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=sil&colorName=SILVER
(2) Perfect Couple Skimmers (Orig. $298, Now $199)
Black flats are a definite must-have, and spending a little more on this wardrobe necessity is okay by me considering this staple will go a long way for your future. Trust me, these Cynthia Vincent black flats are perfect! The ruffle detail on the toe gives this shoe such a feminine look without going over board, and the shinny-er black leather gives the shoe an even more sophisticated look. Plus they are by Cynthia Vincent...um, hello, LOVE HER!

(3) Tory Burch Harrison in Tangerine Orange Leather (Orig. $250, Now $162)
Loafers are definitely another closet must-have, and these TB's aren't your ordinary loafer. While of course they come in all other colors of the rainbow I found these great orange ones on sale and ready to rock. They are a little springy, but the orange makes for such a great classic color, even I (boring mc-boring) thinks they are do able. I'm a Tory Burch advocate and I have to say I really impressed with these loafers. Also, I heard they are super comfortable, which of course is a priority.

Kicks: For the Airplane
So I'm currently en route home from my mini-vacation in the darling palm-tree ridden state known as florida and was just thinking about flight attire. Generally speaking I would prefer to be in a great pair of spandex leggings or soLows and rarely wear jeans - let alone on plane rides - but considering the woman sitting by me is decked out in heels and a low cut "going out" dress I found myself thinking. Comfy is usually the way to go for flying but if your concerned about looking too "shlepy" no worries, my mother always feels this way before she flies: its the wardrobe dilemma for flying. So while I can advise for or against sweatsuits that's for you to decide, however one pointer I will give you is the comfy yet casual plane footwear.
Whether you are coming from to winter weather or off to the sunny beaches on the carribean a solid and multi-seasonal shoe would be a sneaker. Doesn't really matter what brand (although my personal choices may be found below) but a sneaker is great for many reasons. One being they are easy to remove (if you don't tie the laces too tightly) and you will be wearing socks underneath so you eliminate the chance of walking bare foot through security. Furthermore, you can get extra comfy on the plane in just your socks - although bewarw of some awkward stare downs some people don't appreciate the taking your shoes off clause. Second, its always important to have sneaks with you on your trip. Just because we are on vacatuion doesn't mean we need to immediately turn couch potato your body doesn't go on vacation so neither should you - so having your kicks will give you extra incentive to get up and take at least one jog or go for a walk. Third, sneakers are a very neutral branch of footwear. If they don't resemble your children's soccer footwear you can pretty much get away with wearing them out during the day anytime and anywhere. Plus they are always automatically comfortable, because after all they are your sneakers and we all know you bought those puppies for comfort and kicking butt not leg lengthening and slimming down effects.
So it's a win-win: sneakers are by far a solid plane wearing must-have. And you don't even have to pack them so they won't add any extra weight to your embarrasingly heavy bag - pardon me, there I'm talking about myself. So enjoy your kicks and your vacation!
Some of my suggestions:
(1) New Balance 991/992 (~$99)

(1) New Balance 991/992 (~$99)
Link: any sneaker / shoe website. Some include, www.zappos.com, amazon.com, or footlocker.com
Now for these next pair, you don't want to look like you are about to head off to the gym the second you exit the plane. With these Nikes, they have a good balance between sneaker and casual wearability; meaning they don't scream "sneaker" and you can get away with wearing them freely.
(2) Any nike shox - I personally like these: Nike Shox Vivify (~$100)
Link: www.finishline.com or any other shoe/sneaker website as mentioned above.
